CEO, CTO, and Co-founder
Sudhakaran Prabakaran is a computational biologist with extensive expertise in machine learning approaches. He did his Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge on schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. His research involved generating and integrating large scale omics datasets using machine learning methodologies to identify schizophrenia and bipolar disease signatures. After his Ph.D. he moved to Harvard Medical School to do mathematical analysis of biological pathways. It was during his postdoctoral work where he observed preliminary evidence of proteins being generated throughout the genome. He moved back to the University of Cambridge in 2016 to start his own lab at the department of genetics to investigate these noncanonical proteins. Concurrently, he co-founded NonExomics in Boston, US in 2016. His research work confirmed that these previously undiscovered, noncanonical, proteins have immense potential to cure diseases, therefore, in 2021 he quit his academic position and moved back to Boston to raise investment for NonExomics and commercialize the potential of his discoveries. His scientific body of work and publications is extremely well cited and can be found here. He has given a number of talks on noncanonical proteins all over the world. He is the CEO and CTO of NonExomics, USA, India and the UK.
